We are proud to announce that our colleague Martin Sadílek has been appointed as a Young Ambassador at EAASI (European Association of Aerial Surveying Industries). This prestigious organization brings together companies operating in the fields of aerial surveying, LiDAR, and photogrammetry. It supports professionals and promotes awareness of the value of the industry across Europe – and we greatly value being one of its members.
The EAASI Young Ambassador Program is aimed at early-career professionals already working in EAASI member companies. Its goal is to present young experts as inspiring role models and guides for the next generation of geoinformatics and remote sensing specialists. Selected ambassadors attend events, deliver presentations, produce videos, and engage in outreach activities at schools and universities to encourage young people to pursue careers in geospatial science.
Martin’s academic and professional background reflects both technical precision and a deep interest in geospatial sciences. He holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Geoinformatics from Palacký University in Olomouc, where his passion for cartography, GIS, and spatial data analysis began to flourish.
„What fascinates me most about working with aerial surveying data is the ability to see the world from a completely unique perspective. I especially enjoy working with LiDAR, where highly accurate raw point clouds are transformed through processing and classification into usable spatial products. It’s rewarding to be part of a process that supports better decision-making, planning, and documentation across various sectors.“
As a Young Ambassador, Martin will speak at conferences, participate in webinars and educational initiatives, help raise awareness about the value of aerial data, and inspire the next generation of talent to get involved in the field.
Martin’s work at PRIMIS combines his academic experience with hands-on contributions to European LiDAR and orthophoto processing projects. This combination of research and practical expertise is exactly what the EAASI Young Ambassador Program is looking for – ambassadors with strong technical know-how and the ability to communicate the importance of our industry to a broader audience.
